Cafeteria and Menu
Children may purchase a balanced hot lunch, including milk, daily in the school cafeteria for $2.00 or children may pack a lunch and purchase ½ pint milk for $.50. Adults are welcome to purchase lunch at $3.25. Ice cream will be sold for $.75. Please avoid sending red punch or grape drinks because they cause stains when spilled. Carbonated beverages or glass bottles are not permitted at any time because of their explosive nature. Students who do not have lunch money will be asked to stand at the end of the line to facilitate speedy lunch line service.
Advance lunch tickets are available for purchase ahead of time in any increments you wish, e.g., 5 lunches @ $2.00 = $10.00. These tickets may be used at any time throughout the year. This prevents the possibility of children losing their money which leads to lunch charges. Parents also purchase these tickets for use as a precaution when a child loses or forgets his/her money. Make checks payable to Eldersburg Elementary School Cafeteria and forward to Mrs. Teresa Hankinson, Cafeteria Manager. Please indicate your child(s) name and grade on the check.
Carroll County Public Schools Food Service does offer an Annual Meal Plan (AYP). By purchasing the AMP your child is eligible to receive one nutritious meal per day for the entire school year. To enroll your child in the AMP via credit card, please call the Food Service Office at (410) 751-3040 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. To purchase the AMP by check, please make checks payable to CCPS - Food Service and mail to 125 North Court Street, Westminster, MD 21157 Attention: Food Service. Please indicate your child(s) name, school, and grade on the check. Please do not send checks for the AMP to the school.
Lunch charges must be repaid the school day after a charge is made. A child will not be allowed to charge a lunch if they have three (3) outstanding charges.
There will be no sharing of food due to the possibility of food allergies and/or medical conditions. No food from an outside vendor (e.g. Burger King, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut) is permitted in the school cafeteria during regular lunch hours.
