Mission and Vision Statement

The Department of Minority Achievement and Intervention Programs advocates for equity in learning opportunities and provides services that empower learners in our schools and communities to reach their full academic and personal potential.

The Department of Minority Achievement and Intervention Programs:

  • Addresses issues of equity and diversity through instruction, professional development and Education That is Multicultural (ETM) initiatives
  • Develops and/or supports intervention programs that are designed to meet the academic needs of the targeted populations within the following groups: The world being held up by hands
    • CCPS students in grades PreK-12
    • Families
    • Adults
  • Provides professional development opportunities that help staff meet the needs of all learners
  • Encourages parent/family/community involvement
  • Provides support and assistance to school communities
