Student Services

Mr. Dana A. Falls serves as the Director of Student Services, a department which employs approximately 250 individuals in nine program areas. These areas include Guidance and Counseling, Flexible Student Support Programs, Health Services, Pupil Personnel, School Security, School Psychology, Service Learning and Safe and Drug Free Schools.   • Flexible Student Support offers a variety of alternative programs for students. Programs include the Distance Learning Lab, the Student Support Center, and the Diversified Occupations Program. Contact the Pupil Personnel Worker for your child's home school for additional information.

  • Health Services - Role of the School Nurse, Immunizations including requirements, clinics and FAQs, Medications Policies and Procedures, Health Appraisals / Physicals, Hearing / Vision and Scoliosis Screenings, Communicable Disease, Dental including requirements, clinic, and fluoride, Chronic Health Conditions, School Health Council, and Confidentiality.

  • Service-Learning - The Coordinator of Youth Development coordinates the Service-Learning Graduation Requirement, acting as the liaison to school-based service-learning coordinators, community-based service organizations, and staff to promote quality service-learning activities in the school and community. One such program is:
CCSGA-The Carroll County Student Government Association which promotes inter-school relations and collaboration to improve friendly relations among students in Carroll County. The CCSGA Executive Board is comprised of each member school SGA President and the elected positions of President, Vice-president, Treasurer, and Student Representative to the Board of Education as well as the appointed positions of Secretary, Parliamentarian and Sgt. Of Arms. The organization provides ideas for member student governments to initiate and promote improvements and activities for the general good of students in Carroll County.
  • School Psychology - Role of the School Psychologist, Staff Assignments, Training, Consultation, Education, Assessment, Intervention

  • School Security - The Coordinator of Security primary`s responsibility is to create a safe and secure environment in our schools that is conducive to learning. This is accomplished by the ever present cooperation between our schools and the criminal justice community in Carroll County.

  • Substance Abuse Prevention/Safe and Drug Free Schools - Role of the Coordinator and the program strategies to prevent the abuse of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.
