Carroll Schools Receive Maryland Green School Certification
Ebb Valley Elementary School, Manchester Elementary School, and Manchester Valley High School have been selected for certification as Maryland Green Schools for 2012. Sykesville and West Middle Schools have received recertification. Read more
Career Tech Students Place 1st in State at Ford/AAA Auto Skills Contest
Kyle Bacon and Chase Hawk, students at the Carroll County Career and Technology Center, finished first in the State Finals of the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Competition and will go to the national competition. Read more

Carroll Students Win Awards at Maryland History Day Competition
Two students from Carroll County Public Schools received recognition at the Maryland History Day competition held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Read more.

Career and Technology Center Students Earn Medals at State Competition
Students from the Carroll County Career and Technology Center competed in the 39th annual Maryland State SkillsUSA competitions on May 4 and 5, 2012. Nineteen students received gold medals and will advance to the national competition this summer in Kansas City. Read more

Nick Shockney, principal at Mechanicsville Elementary School, has received the Special Education Professional of the Year Award presented by The Arc of Carroll County. Read more.

Kimberly Dolch and Darryl Robbins Named Outstanding Carroll County School Administrators
Kimberly Dolch, principal of North Carroll High School, and Darryl Robbins, assistant principal of Robert Moton Elementary School, have been named as the recipients of the Rita Board Dowd Award for Outstanding Carroll County School Administrators. Read more
